VCI’s purpose is to enhance the lives and well-being of community residents-focusing on veterans and the veteran families. VCI emphasizes assisting with social and economic needs of those who are disabled, disadvantaged, physically and mentally challenged, unemployed and underemployed, substance abusers, and current and previously incarcerated. VCI administers this support by assisting, caring, and advocating for our nation’s most precious resource-our veterans and military. Programs and services offered include Occupational Support and Training Services for Veterans, Veteran Benefits Assistance, Veterans Perspective: Aging Services Education, Veterans Rural Outreach events, Cambria County Together With Veterans, Tom Caulfield Veterans Remembered Scholarship, Veteran Assistance Outreach Program (VAOP)/Veteran Care Assistance Program (VCAP), and Cambria County Veterans Treatment Court Mentorship Program.
