Free to participating non-profits and service organizations within a six county region. Free to the general public to visit the event on April 30th. Held during National Volunteer Month, the LIFT Johnstown Regional Project Party attracts hundreds of families, senior citizens and retirees, middle school, high school and college students, church groups, youth groups and adults who attend to sign up for service hours, volunteer opportunities, internships and summer jobs with non-profits and service organizations from a six county area that need assistance to fulfill their missions. It’s like “shopping” for the work that fits your interests, your time and your skills. Some organizations provide training as needed. The Party also connects non-profits and service organizations who often partner and collaborate on events and activities that enrich the communities they serve, enhancing the quality of life in our region. Participation in the event is free to the community and to the non-profits and service organizations who display at their tables. There is food, music, door prizes every hour, free workshops and award presentations. Join us and reach out to improve our neighborhoods, communities and those in need by taking a little time to work with these wonderful programs.
