Did you know that a hobby like crocheting is a proven stress reliever and a positive creative outlet? More and more people are discovering the versatility of crocheting. You can crochet anything by using a thread or even a rope. In just a couple weeks you will learn basic stitches (chain stitch, single crochet, half double crochet, double crochet, slip stitch) that will allow you to start and finish beginner projects. You will learn crochet lingo and how to read a pattern. To get started, you’ll only need a few things: A ball or skein of cotton (sugar ‘n cream)— Medium #4 worsted weight — yarn, solid colors (no dark colors to start), An aluminum size J-10 (6.0mm) and H-9 (5.5mm) crochet hooks With some practice, you will learn what techniques work best for you. You will amaze yourself and others with your handmade gifts.
