DESCRIPTION:Held during National Volunteer Month\, the LIFT Johnstown Regional Project Party attracts hundreds of families\, senior citizens and retirees\, middle school\, high school and college students\, church groups\, youth groups and adults who attend to sign up for service hours\, volunteer opportunities and internships with non-profits and service organizations from an eight county area that need volunteer assistance to fulfill their missions. It's like "shopping" for the volunteer work that fits your interests\, your time and your skills. The Party also connects non-profits and service organizations who often partner on events and activities that enrich the communities that they serve\, enhancing the quality of life in our region. Participation in the event is free to the community and to the non-profits and service organizations who display their tables. There is food\, music\, door prizes every hour\, free workshops and award presentations. Join us and reach out to improve our neighborhoods\, communities and those in need by volunteering a little of your time to these wonderful programs. Some organizations provide training as needed.
